About The Class
Ready to lean into throwing larger forms? This next-level wheel-throwing course is designed for students who want to deepen their pottery practice by exploring complex forms, taller vessels, and refining their techniques.
In this hands-on, 4-week course, you’ll work with more clay and dive into intricate forms like vases, bottles, or hollow forms like donut vases. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the techniques that elevate your pieces from simple to stunning.
All sessions take place in our tranquil, sun-filled pottery studio at Emerald, where every student is encouraged to take creative risks and find their unique flow.
Skill Level: Intermediate – Must have completed Pottery on Wheels Level 1 or a beginner wheel series at any studio
Comfortable with: Centering clay, creating a basic bowl or cylinder, trimming
- Age Group: Ages 18+ (open to teens 12+ with a parent/guardian present)
- Materials Included: Personal tool kit, 24 lb bag of clay, access to studio during membership hours (for the duration of the course).
